We have been long gestating to celebrate Colombia’s winning streak in world cinema. With the contribution of the Colombian Embassy we proudly present The Colombian Day in Urania Cinema on January 31st, where you can catch up on two legendary Colombian masterpieces: Ciro Guerra’s Oscar-nominated Embrace of the Serpent and Alejandro Landes’ critically acclaimed extravaganza: Monos.
Come and celebrate with us and dive into the mesmerizing Colombian jungle from the ice cold Budapest.

5.30 pm Embrace of the Serpent (El abrazo de la serpiente) - original language, Hungarian subtitles
8.00 pm Monos - in original language with Hungarian subtitles.
Before the screening H.E. Mme. Carmenza Jaramillo, The Ambassador of Colombia will hold her opening statement.
Allthrough the day a pop-up exhibition about Colombia can be freely visited in the foyer.

Opening hours: Summer opening hours from June 26 to August 28, 2025! During this period, the box office opens on weekdays at 4:30 PM, on weekends at 10:30 AM.
Box office closes 15 minutes after the start of the last screening.
