A ground-breaking and important tribute film to cinematographer-director János Tóth, the legendary figure of Hungarian film. The oeuvre of the Kossuth Prize-winning Artist of Merit who died in 2019 can perhaps be best characterized by Vince Zalán who called him “The Cinematographer”. The film portrays the exceptional personality of the “poet of light” and marks out the most important milestones in his career using an unprecedented amount of archive, restored film material.
