In post-war Budapest, 16-year-old Holocaust survivor Klara still clings to the belief that her parents will come home. When she meets Aladár, a 42-year-old doctor who has lost his wife and two children in the death camps, she finds someone to live for, and she, in turn, brings newfound meaning to his life. This tender, delicate story celebrates the healing power of love in the face of conflict, loss, and unimaginable trauma.
